Fabric: Silk in the Bodice and Brocade for the skirt

The inspiration for my dress was a wedding dress from Manipur, India called Potloi (skirt portion of the bridal dress). I used silk fabric for the bodice and brocade for the skirt. I used corded piping in the bodice to improve the structure and horsehair braid where the bodice joins the skirt to give form to match Potloi form.
